American Girl is really good at making high quality toys. Their crafting kits are some of the best I have had the chance to play with. The American Girl Ultimate Crafting Kit had an overwhelming amount of things to do and I can’t wait to accomplish them all.
CHECK PRICEThere is an ungodly amount of tape on this box. Not only on the outside but at every corner imaginable on the package insert and all of the included pieces. I was really annoyed with the whole thing by the time I opened everything up. Inside the kit there are several jars of beads and glitter, decorative tape, yarn, strings, greeting cards, a weaving tool and an instruction guide for the various possible crafts.
I chose to make a chevron bangle using the double tape in the package. The double tape is cut in shapes to make things easy. Simply stick the tape on the bangle, peel the top layer off and sprinkle with loose glitter. I would highly recommend covering the loose glitter on the sticker with clear glue or a varnish of some sort. Just to prevent rub off on clothes and preserve the quality of the jewelry piece.
I really liked the instruction guide and how it shows all the different possibilities in this American Girl Ultimate Crafting Kit.
I didn’t find anything that I disliked about the set itself. Just the packaging and the excessive use of tape.
This crafting kit is recommended for players 8 and older.
The American Girl Ultimate Crafting Kit is a great little kit. Perfect for multiple players and multiple play sessions. I had a lot of fun playing with this and look forward to my next crafting opportunity!
