The Learning Resources Count & Build TotBot is a great toy for any little tinker. This TotBot does not require batteries and comes with a wrench tool to help build the shape of the boy while learning about shapes, colors and numbers.

Unboxing

My TotBot was packaged in a clear faced box. I had him out to play within just a few minutes with the help of my scissors. As I said, he doesn’t require any batteries so I was ready to play right away.

The Playtime Experience

When you first open your TotBot, he has his feet and head in place with 3 of the 5 pieces along his body. To move the pieces you can use the wrench to twist them off (which is very time consuming), or spin them by hand like I did. Each pieces has a different shape, primary color and number on it which is the learning portion of this toy.

Things I Liked

I like the wrench accessory because I can see my son really liking that however it was a little too time consuming to actually use for my purposes.

Things I Didn't Like

I don’t have anything I really dislike about this toy but I do wish there were some sort of interactive point. Music, sound effects..etc. nothing much in order to preserve the classic nature of the toy but it did feel like it was missing a little something extra.

Final Note

I love the classic styling of this Count & Build TotBot even if I do wish there was some sounds effects. It is a great little tinker toy with classic learning style. I would definitely purchase again for my little man who loves to tinker with his toys and pretend to “fix’ them with his tools.
