Finding Dory was a great sequel to the adorable, Finding Nemo movie. I really liked the movie and I really like the Finding Dory My Friend Dory toy I had a chance to play with. She is adorable and has multiple interaction points. She is sure to please any Dory fan!

Unboxing

Dory wasn’t difficult to remove from the packaging, once I had her out of the package I did have to pull an activation tab in order to get her started.

The Playtime Experience

Dory has multiple interaction points on her which makes the play time diverse and enjoyable. There is a button along her side that activates lots of Dory sayings, she also sings or speaks when she is moved around. When you push her mouth open, even more sayings for Dory! Last but not least, when you move her tail it makes her eyes shift from right to left.

The general feel of Dory is soft and rubbery to give her a fish-like feel. Overall she is very true to her movie self, and even in all my play time with her I didn’t find any repeat sayings.

Things I Didn't Like

I don’t like that in order to turn My Friend Dory on/off you have to pinch the back of her head and pull her apart.

Appropriate Ages

I don’t see any reason that Dory wouldn’t be enjoyed by a young child but her package labeling recommends for four and older.

Final Note

Finding Dory My Friend Dory is an awesome little toy. I love the large variety of interaction points, sayings and songs. I only dislike that she has to be taken apart to replace batteries and turn her on/off. Otherwise though, she is well-made, well-programmed and generally a lot of fun!
