Learning Resources has a great way of creating toys that are not only incredibly captivating but thoughtfully teach in a meaningful way. The Learning Resources Puzzle Globe is designed to teach about places and continents while also honing fine motor skills. While this toy is really cool, I played with a Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Greetings Globe last summer that I liked better for a few reasons.

Unboxing

The globe comes cased in a plastic fronting and cardboard box base. Once you open it up you can remove the entire thing as well as the various continent pieces out of the box.

The Playtime Experience

The Learning Resources Globe has several different shape entry points and pegs for each continent, that way you can’t mess up where they go. There really isn’t any other learning to be done with this. The pieces are different colors and there are pictures of indigenous animals and landmarks on the various pieces.

Things I Liked

I like that you can’t confuse where the pieces go because the shapes have to match up and no two are the same.

Things I Didn't Like

I don’t really like that there aren’t any sounds or other learning materials.

Final Note

The Learning Resources Puzzle Globe is a good learning option but for the age group It doesn’t hold a candle to the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Greetings Globe. The lack of additional learning, songs or other materials means that the learning experience is limited, even if the design is really neat.
