Unboxing
The Going Camping Playset is packaged in an open face box with all pieces clearly seen. You are able to try to pieces while it is still in the box, the bird on the top of the camping tent and the campfire. I had to use scissors and a little elbow grease to get all of the contents out. There was a lot of tape, plastic, rubber bands, plastic ties…etc. But within a few minutes I had all the pieces out of the packaging and was ready to play.
The Playtime Experience
There is a lot to do with this little play set. There are two Little People, a boy and a girl, two sleeping bags, a tent, campfire, ATV, truck and trailer. There is also a picnic table and a cooler for picnics while on your camping adventure. The Little people both fit in their sleeping bags and inside the tent for sleeping. They also fit in the truck or on the ATV for riding around the camp. The interactive parts of this playset are at the top of the tent and with the campfire. The top of the tent houses a red bird spinner, the spinner tells a story with pictures of a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. The campfire has two sticks over it and when they are put together the flames rise, pull them apart and the flame goes down. There are no interactive points that involve music or sounds.
Things I Liked
I really like the truck/trailer and ATV combo. I love that you can pull the ATV around and then unload it for riding.
Things I Didn't Like
I really wish this set had some sort of light, songs, sounds or something. However, It would pair well with the Little People Camper set.
Appropriate Ages
This camping play set is recommended for players 1-5 years of age.
Final Note
I wish there had been some music or sound interaction with this toy. However, the Fisher-Price Little People Going Camping Playset doesn’t disappoint. There is plenty to do and it would pair well with the Little People Camper and other Little People sets.
