Melissa & Doug Suspend Game (Suspenseful Fun for the Whole Family?)

This family game is packaged in a small plastic cylinder. The packaging is easy to open and inside there are 31 metal pieces of different lengths, weights and the ends are capped in different rubber caps. Also included is a base with stabilizing bars and the components needed to build the suspend main structure. Inside the package is a slip of paper that serves as the package display and the instructions for multiple ways to play.

There are multiple ways to play Suspend, depending on how difficult you want things to be. The easiest way to play involves splitting the pieces into equal parts and the first person who places all their pieces wins. The hardest involves eliminating players and calculating points based on how quickly and successfully you can place all your pieces. No matter which way you play, some rules stay the same. Some rules like, you can only place the pieces with one hand stay the same no matter which way you play.

I really like how challenging this game turned out. I expecting it to be difficult but not this difficult!

I feel like the base could have been better. The base is a small wooden, half-moon shape. In order to get it to stay in place, you have to attach two metal stabilizer rods. I just think there could have been a better way.

This Melissa and Doug family game is recommended for players 8 and older.

I am excited to play the Melissa & Doug Suspend Family Game with a larger group. Namely, my brother and his uncanny knack to always win while playing Jenga. I want to see how his luck stands up to a more difficult, trickier balance game!
