Unboxing
I don’t know what it is about manufacturers and their toy cash registers but this is the second one that was actually screwed into the box. I just think that is absolutely ridiculous and already slighted me against this toy. Once I finally had it opened, I had to install 2 AA batteries.
The contents of the toy includes the cash register unit complete with cash drawer, key, play money/coins, an attached conveyor belt, scanner, and microphone. There are also grocery items in the form of boxes and a basket for carrying said grocery items.
The Playtime Experience
I was deflated after my play experience with this cash register play set. The play money is very cheap feeling and is in Euro form, which means I can’t really use that to teach my son about change and money here in the U.S.
Truthfully the theme of this set is cheap, cheap, cheap. From the scanner, to the microphone to the conveyor belt. Everything is cheaply made and really off putting.
Things I Liked
I like that this set came with a shopping basket.
Things I Didn't Like
There isn’t much that I like about this set. Right from the get go, the packaging was a pain. Adding to it that everything was so cheaply made. I was less than impressed.
Appropriate Ages
This Cash Register play set is recommended for players 3 years of age and older.
Final Note
I wouldn’t purchase this Imagine Multi-functional Educational Toy Cash Register again. It is cheaply made and there wasn’t really anything I liked about this compared to my previous experiences.
