You will need a good pair of scissors for the unboxing of the Tactical Vest. It is secured in the package with several plastic clips and scissors make a quick job of removing everything from the package. Included is the Tactical Vest, 12 Nerf darts, and 2 six dart capacity clips.
I am a smaller 5’4” female and this vest fit me. It was a little short but it wasn’t too bad. I was surprised on the size versatility actually. Nerf thought ahead and created Velcro straps along the sides that allow you to expand or tighten the vest as necessary. There are several pockets to hold the 2 included clips, as well as others that you can buy separately. Along the top of the vest there is several loops to hold even more Nerf darts for quick access.
I like that the vest is easy to wear and lightweight. I also love that Nerf made it versatile with the Velcro straps, so you can customize your fit somewhat. All the pockets on the outside are great and hold the clips securely in place even when you are running around.
There isn’t really anything I dislike about the Tactical vest. I wish it was a little longer but it really isn’t made for a grown woman to wear so I can’t complain. The only suggestion I would have had is to have some pockets on the inside as well.
Nerf tends to market their toys for 8 and older. Keep in mind that, that recommendation will strongly depend on you or your child’s size.
I thought that the Nerf N-Strike Elite Series Tactical Vest really enhanced the whole experience. It made it easy to keep your ammo close and ready for reload which helps when you are trying to kick Nerf-butt. I would gladly purchase this for my son. Now we just need an adult size Tactical vest!
