I love the Paw Patrol gang on Nick Jr and I have played with many of the toys based on characters from the show. Usually I am really impressed with these play sets, however this week I played with the Paw Patrol Rescue Training Center Playset and I wasn’t too impressed.

Unboxing

There was a lot going on in terms of packaging for this toy. It took quite a bit of effort for me to get all the pieces out. You will definitely need a good pair of scissors for this unboxing.

The Playtime Experience

I was disappointed with my play experience with the Paw Patrol Rescue Training Center Playset. In the packaging it looks like there is a lot to do with this set but once it is out of the package and set up, it is actually pretty limited. It comes with chase and a cat character who gets stuck in the tree. There is a missile launcher and I am not sure at all why this is included. There is also a separate lift operator to help Chase rescue the trapped kitty. On the opposite side of the playset is a sort of zip line, which would have been cool except the base doesn’t stay flat so it really doesn’t work.

Things I Liked

My favorite part of the play set was the elevator that aids chase in his rescue.

Things I Didn't Like

I really wish this set was just better made and more thought out in design. It really doesn’t scream “training center” and the elements that are there don’t work very well.

Final Note

The Paw Patrol Rescue Training Center Playset was not my favorite toy. It wasn’t very well made and in my opinion, its design wasn’t thought out very well. Nothing about this set really said “training center” to me, and I really would have appreciated seeing more of the characters from the show.
