VTech Baby Lil’ Critters Spin and Discover Ferris Wheel

The Lil’ Critters Ferris Wheel comes out of its package quite easily. Once the packaging is opened there are two twist clips on the back that must be undone in order to pull it from the package. It is packaged with batteries already inside so once it is out of the box, your little one is ready to play.

On the bottom of the Ferris Wheel is a large suction cup to hold it to a smooth surface. This is great for encouraging baby to crawl or just to keep them engaged for tummy time activities on the floor. The on/off switch as well as volume control is on the front center of the Ferris Wheel. Once you slide it to the on position and choose your volume preference, the toy is ready to play. You can spin the Ferris Wheel to hear sound effects, music and the rattle of the beads inside, accompanied by flashing lights. Or you can press any one of the three animals, a bird, a bear and a frog, to hear music, animal sounds and access learning features such as colors, numbers and more.

I really like the suction cup. This is a clever detail that makes this toy perfect for the highchair or for tummy time. It is just the sort of thing that keeps baby occupied long enough for mommy or daddy to get some dishes done, or even just take a breath.

I don’t have anything I dislike about this toy per se, the suction cup is great but isn’t as strong as it probably should be to withstand rough play.

This Vtech Baby toy is recommended for even very small players 6 months and older. Though as I said, this is a great attention-getter for tummy time and could be used for younger babies for that purpose.

I give the VTech Baby Lil’ Critters Spin and Discover Ferris Wheel two thumbs up! I really like this toy and will definitely keep it in mind as a gift for baby showers in the future. This is a great “grow with me” type of toy and it is small enough to go with you when traveling.
