I personally love the Go! Go! Smart Friends toys from Vtech. I love that they are catered to young players and offer lots of play time and imagination based fun. I had the chance to play with the VTech Go! Go! Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palace and it did not fail to meet expectation.

Unboxing

Unboxing took a bit of extrVTech Go Go Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palacea time with the Enchanted Princess Palace, this toy is shipped in lots of smaller pieces. Adult assembly will be required to get the finished look but all the pieces snap together easily and I was done in about 20 minutes. You’ll have a sheet of stickers to place on the Palace for the finished look, which is very cute by the way.

Included in your package is one Go!Go! Smart Friend, Princess Darla. You will need 2 AA batteries to the tallest tower of the Palace which makes noise and lights up.

The Playtime Experience

I really enjoyed my playtime with the Enchanted Princess Palace. There are several interaction points that inspire Darla to sing, talk and interact with her Palace. The playset is about 4 feet in length and 2 feet in height once it is all put together. The side pieces including the staircase and the swing do fold in for slightly easier storage.

Things I Liked

I really like the VTech Go! Go! Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palace. It has so much to do in just one playset I can easily see hours of playtime spent with this set. It is also really affordable which is a huge win in the parent department.

Things I Didn't Like

I actually wish that the Enchanted Palace came with more Go! Go! Friends. I realize that it is minimal cost to purchase other friends to complement this set, however, I don’t think it would have been too much to ask for at least 2 dolls.

Appropriate Ages

Vtech recommends this playset for ages 1.5-5 years of age. I can easily see this set spanning that age gap. Although that age gap isn’t huge, the development that takes place in those few years put a 1 year old and a 5 year old in totally different categories. It isn’t always that a toy can easily appeal to both but the Enchanted Princess Palace does.

Final Note

My 1 year old loved playing with me when I was using the VTech Go! Go! Smart Friends Enchanted Princess Palace. For the price and the entertainment value it offers, I don’t really think any parent can go wrong with this purchase. I am very happy with mine and would gladly purchase more Go! Go! Sets in the future.
