Unboxing
The box for the National Geographic kit is easy to open and set up. I pulled out the package insert and inside was a booklet that teaches about fossils, a clay brick and the tools for the dig play time.
The Playtime Experience
Digging in the clay brick can be really messy so I would suggest prepping your surface first. My favorite easy clean-up hack is using a cookie sheet. The tools included are a two sided digging tool, a brush for dusting away the clay and a magnifying glass.

Things I Liked
I really like this set. The play time is a lot of fun and I really like that there is an educational component as well.
Things I Didn't Like
I didn’t have anything I disliked about this set.
Appropriate Ages
This National Geographic Fossil Kit is recommended for those 6 years of age and older.
Final Note
I much prefer this National Geographic Mega Fossil Mine over the Dr Cool version I played with previously. This set is not only fun and interactive, it is also educational and informative. For the price point this toy offers multiple play sessions and a lot of value. I am super happy with this purchase!
